Our Story
How a camping dream became the Philippines' most unique dining destination
How It Began
Kamp Lilim opened its bamboo gates in 2022 in Biñan City, Laguna, with one mission: bring the escapism of the great outdoors into the everyday lives of Filipinos who love adventure but don't always have the luxury of getting away. The founders — passionate locals with a love of nature, food, and community — saw a gap in the Philippine dining landscape and filled it boldly.
The name "Lilim" is the Filipino word for shade — the kind you find under a canopy of trees, the kind that cools you down on a summer afternoon. It captures exactly what Kamp Lilim offers: shelter from the pace of urban life, a place to breathe, slow down, and connect. The design is unmistakably camp: bamboo walls, pennant flags, gravel-stone pathways, a vintage mint-green caravan, and Edison bulbs that glow like campfire embers after dark.
From day one, Kamp Lilim positioned itself not just as a restaurant but as an experience. The kitchen was designed to complement the setting — dishes that felt like proper camp feasts: wood-fired pizzas, hearty pastas, grilled meats, Filipino comfort food, and craft drinks served in mason jars. Guests who came once kept coming back — not just for the food, but for the feeling. Kamp Lilim quickly became a Biñan landmark, earning a 4.5-star Google rating and over 22,000 Facebook followers by 2025.
What Drives Us
Every detail at Kamp Lilim is designed to transport you — the materials, the lighting, the layout, even the scent of the air. We believe a great dining experience is also a small act of escape, and we take that responsibility seriously for every guest who walks through our gate.
Our kitchen blends Italian technique, Asian soul, and Filipino heart into a menu that surprises and satisfies. From our Truffle Pasta and Margherita Pizza to our Kamp Tapa rice plate and Garlic Longganisa, every dish is crafted to be memorable — not just filling.
Kamp Lilim is a neighborhood institution, not just a restaurant. We host live acoustic performances, support local musicians, and create a space where Biñan residents feel at home. Our guests are our kamp community — and we build for them.
What We Stand For
Every element of Kamp Lilim — from the bamboo-and-stone interior to the hand-crafted menu — is genuine in its intent to create a one-of-a-kind camping experience.
We train our staff to be attentive, friendly, and genuinely accommodating — guests notice, and reviewers consistently praise the Kamp Lilim team for their care.
Our kitchen refuses to be boxed in — we blend Italian, Asian, and Filipino influences to deliver a menu that is inventive, satisfying, and camp-appropriate.
We believe great dining deserves great music — live acoustic performances are woven into the Kamp Lilim experience as a permanent, beloved feature.
From families celebrating milestones to solo diners seeking a quiet escape, Kamp Lilim is designed to welcome everyone into its warmly lit bamboo shelter.
Our Journey
The Philippines' first camping-themed cafe and restaurant opens its bamboo gates at 2473 Dipolog Street, South City Homes, Biñan City, Laguna — instantly drawing curious guests from across Metro South.
Within months of opening, Kamp Lilim is featured in food vlog content as a "Hidden Nature Food Spot" in the city of Biñan — viral word-of-mouth drives its first wave of guests from Manila and nearby provinces.
In March 2023, Kamp Lilim announces an expanded updated food menu on Facebook, adding new camp-style dishes while refining fan favorites — including the now-signature Crab Fat Pasta and Truffle Pasta.
A second Kamp Lilim outpost opens in Santo Tomas, Balong Bato, Quezon City — bringing the camping-themed dining concept to Metro Manila and confirming the brand's reach beyond Laguna.
Kamp Lilim's Facebook community surpasses 22,000 likes with over 3,000 check-ins at the Biñan location — a testament to the loyal kamp community that has grown around the brand since its founding.
